Make a material difference by investing our in our sister enterprise Emerge Recycling
Touch Wood is, first and foremost, a shop specialising in waste wood, timber reuse and upcycling.
We rescue waste wood collected by our sister social enterprise, EMERGE Recycling, and repurpose it for re-sale and reuse in our workshop, where it is turned it into beautiful upcycled timber products.
Touch Wood is partner of the National Community Wood Recycling Project (NCWRP), a nationwide network of wood recycling social enterprises; and part of EMERGE Recycling.
Collections, sale & upcycling of waste wood
We reclaim pre-loved timber from any source, which if discarded would have been sent to landfill or burned. Anything we cannot reuse or sell is sent for recycling. This reduces the carbon emissions associated with wood going to waste, offers cost savings for DIY enthusiasts, and provides training and job potential to volunteers in the workshop.
Bespoke pieces
Our skilled team of staff and volunteers use reclaimed timber to create beautiful and practical products, such as home and garden furniture. We regularly create bespoke pieces to order.
